Its pretty simple, Damen picks a warden for Oldcp, teaches them DB, Damen focuses on P3d, but still continues to work on Crimezone for each side.

Oldcp gets a more active admin = Users Happy

P3d gets more updates and an active ruler = Users Happy

Seen this suggested before and I think it could be interesting, but it's just the question of who it is. Possibly one of the current admins who is really active is my best thought but there are others as well.

Or Damen can just use more help behind the scenes and with making the game more active/interesting/more active crimezone/more events

Idk, I'd be a bit worried about OldCp becoming like iOldCp. Which would certainly not be good.

As Sled said, if this were to happen, I think one of the current active admins would be a good choice.

Most of the admins are pretty active; but there's only so much rank 5 admins can do without Damen's approval. It'd be interesting to see Zes and Brit get database eventually if Damen deems them worthy so they are able to do more.

we would need a warden that treats the game the same way damen does, but makes it more active. not free ranks/xprops to everyone who asks but the same style of oldcp in which you need to earn everything you get yh yh?

You have all of your ducks lined up in a row, but there's a bigger picture here that isn't being seen. I think that you have provided an exceptional idea, but there are a few barriers that are going to hinder the entire process.


Giving someone Warden of Database for OldCP requires a lot of thought and trust being instilled in a possible candidate. These are two things that aren't really given out too much within the community. Sure people have high ranks, but they are given little to no authority. The people calling the shots have been here for years and they continue to provide the leadership this game has. It may not be the best, but we're more focused on profiles and not who does the work and who actually wants the job. It'd be nice to have someone who is trusted and is willing to put forth time for the community to receive the position. I believe that we need to have a bit more faith in the right people if we want things to change around here. Sure giving someone new a chance isn't easy, but all of the old methods are simply not working. Everyone had to earn trust at some point.
