The Wrong Idea Of Hating Moderators
•
6th June 2015, 03:10 PM
I've done that before and tbh, that is honestly very rude of me. I should have respected that (person I will not call out) got Moderator, but I didn't like how they got the chance to become one. Thank you for making this post; it makes me feel a little odd on how I've acted before. Although, if someone really doesn't deserve it, such as (rank here) abusing their power, then I see why I can complain about it. Again, thank you for making this post. Sometimes my priorities aren't straight .3. +1.

Amy, don't do this to yourself. Tbh, I feel as if in the past few weeks/months you are depressing yourself. If you believe you are actually being driven out by haters, then there is something wrong. The haters might be able to bring you down, but you can always get back up. This would not make it any better for us; you are basically saying we all hate you probably because 1 person does. In my opinion, you are breaking your own heart and you should ignore haters when you see any. People tried to understand them, but when you push them out and say they don't help it makes others feel worse. Please give the DSGHQ another chance; make sure you keep friendship goals in mind, because maybe they can't all be your friend. Start out with one person that believes in you and go on from there. I know you'll make the right decision, and if you don't then farewell Amy. I would truly miss you.

The Community and changes

Alright first of all, most staff demotions these days happen because of in-activeness and resigning. They are busy, and they might not get enough hours in a week to Moderate. Aswell as this, I feel drama can cause major problems. Although that is a normal thing that we as humans cause. As a community, we can try to be drama-free but that would never happen.

Too Many People Trying To Earn Ranks
•
3rd June 2015, 06:08 PM
Hey there! Today I would like to talk about something. This is about too many people trying to earn ranks. Basically, in my opinion more people try to earn ranks than the ones that actually have fun. This is a problem to me because I feel we all came here to have fun, right? Let me tell you my opinion on this certain predicament.
There is nothing wrong with earning a rank. I believe if you truly feel ready for a rank, then it is alright if you go for it. BUT, these days, I am seeing too many people working for ranks. Examples are too many people asking a knight to train them, too many people wanting to take a wise test, and too many people acting serious for a rank. Literally, I have seen some people who only talk to people that have the rank they want, because they want a better recommendation.
Another thing is that more people are 'working their butts off' rather than having fun on a game especially created for them. Although I noticed there are people who are ready for a rank, I also noticed that some of these people try too hard to earn it such as making 3+ applications and them spam advertising them, telling everyone how much they've achieved and what they want, and only talking to ranked people. (like I mentioned)
I have also seen people trying out for multiple ranks. There are others I have seen that even after getting a rank, they apply for another. Its like getting knight just so you can put it on your 'resume' for Moderator. The word to describe part of our community is rank greedy. Yup, that is my honest opinion. I want to see people having real fun.
Does anyone remember Damen's videos? If you don't, there was a part in it that had said to not take things so seriously. Although it is alright to earn a rank, don't let all your time be consumed by it. Make sure to have fun with friends online, hang out, and just relax. We all need a break every once in a while.
Basically, this post was made becauseI want you to not just make all your goals about ranks. Make your goals for friends, make them for fun, make them for the most striving community possible. Make sure you are comfortable with what you do on here; if you don't make any friends on here that possible rank might not be much fun. We all can strive for a rank, but strive for the best rank:fun ratio possible. Bye now!

Congrats Cyberwolf, Tennis, Chelsey, Freddy, and anyone else that got promoted.

He wasn't demoted, he wasn't given the rank Emperor Helper. Because of what he did, the rank was given to Tennis instead. If Roberto does anything else, he will be demoted.

LeoRPG Beta Tester Application (Maniac)
•
29th May 2015, 02:58 PM
Hey there! I'm Maniac, and this is my Leo RPG beta tester application.
What is your desired username for LeoRPG If I were to choose one, I would have CPManiac. Although I am Maniac now, I have always been CPManiac and it just suits me better in my opinion.
Why would I like to beta test LeoRPG? Well, I've always had a fond interest for games, especially first models or games that just came out. It is like a before and after picture when everything is fixed and works perfectly. It would also give me a chance to see this amazing game early in beta testing.
Have you beta tested a DSGHQ game before? I have; I have beta tested the following games from the DSGHQ.
PenguinIsles
Snaildom
What have you beta tested outside the DSGHQ? To my concern, I haven't beta tested any other games outside the DSGHQ.
Can You Be Trusted? I believe I can be trusted. Just recently there has been an incident I was involved in, but hopefully that will clear up soon for the better or worse. Other than that, I believe I am a trusted user of the DSGHQ. I have always followed the rules of the DSGHQ, not that I would think of breaking any. I have also been here for 2 years; more life 20 months due to the fact I was inactive for some time in April.
Do you understand that patience is an important matter of testing, and that it's not a game to mess around on? I do understand this. I take beta testing very seriously, for it is a beta tester's goal to help improve the game before it actually starts.
As a beta tester, how active would you be? Well, saying that I am on summer break, I'd be able to get on LeoRPG Beta for around 3-7 hours a day average. I would be able to find/report bugs and glitches quickly and efficiently as possible so that the game can improve some technical issues before beta testing ends.
My experiences beta testing other DSGHQ Games Like I have told you, I beta tested PenguinIsles and Snaildom. Both in which I found very interesting and exclusive for me to help out. There would be a group of users aswell as me and we would hang out, walk around, use everything, and make sure there were no glitches/bugs. If there were, we would report them to Damen. At his own time, Damen would fix them. This was a fun and repetitive process, and in the end improved the game majorly with things like games, clothing, rooms, items, and actions. It was a grand time, and I would love to beta test another DSGHQ game because its so adventurous and creative.
Thank you for reading my LeoRPG beta tester application, please feel free to leave your opinion on how I did. Let me know if I can fix something in my application; I always love tips and advice. Bye now!

Taking A Moderator Away From Their Job
•
27th May 2015, 11:29 AM
This is a problem mainly for Moderators, this is just me telling you guys this
Hey guys! Okay, so there are a lot of times when you are online, and someone walks up to you. They ask you, "Can I talk to you?" I reply with, "Sure." "... in private .." They say. I come to their igloo, and I end up being asked something like when is the next Moderator Competition or what is the code for this specific item. They took me away from my job; I was the only Moderator online and people in the town could be spamming/cussing/bullying etc.
I want to discuss with you guys why I made this post. You see, this is a problem I have. I try to have them talk to me publicly, yet they keep pleading for me to come to their igloo. Around 7/10 times it would be unnecessary to have the conversation private. My concern is to help with your problems, so if you would like to talk to me in private, make sure it is not about one of the following.
The Time Of An Event
A Question About The DSGHQ
If ________ Is Online
Moderator Information/Applying For Moderator
Is Gravity Falls Bae (which it obviously is)
Why Something Isn't Working
How To Do Something
And so on and so on. If your question seems like it shouldn't be private, then please don't call me out to tell me something in private. Make sure you think about this to make a Moderator's job as efficient as possible. Thank you for reading; I'd love for your feedback ^o^

I like the thought of it, but I would think that this might take a while to create. The first one I don't think would be too hard, but the second would take too long and I don't believe it would be worth the time taken into it. The first one you can most likely just put a pattern onto the chairs, but the second is asking for a handmade activity with animation and such. There is a bonfire for Club Penguin, so if you are referencing to that, then yes that would be a great idea. Overall these ideas are great; they would be pretty cool to see.

Yes yeS THIS IS AN ART. I'm talking like this for a raeson. (slipped in a lil' rae pun right there) anYWHO. Iconic. Yurp. Its a word. BUT NOT JUST ANY WORD. It has a new meaning in the dictionary.
Iconic
(1) Used when Roberto does anything
(2) Literally anything
When shall you use iconic? Well, any time you even hear 'rob' or 'roberto' in a sentence//see roberto speaking, you shall say iconic. This generation shall start the iconic trend and it shall be dONE CORRECTLY!1!1! How can you help with the trend?
You see how it works? Alright. stART THE TREND. spRAEd the word. make our geneRAEtion proud. Bye now!

(/qc /qp /ql /qh) Command Glitch

You can be a librarian, wise one and healer etc... all at the same time. Therefore it is necessary to say the quit command for each wise rank you may have.
That wasn't the point of this post. The commands won't work on the first time, nor will they work usually on the 3rd. An example is if you became a wise, then used /qc. It won't work, so to get the beard off, you'll have to do something like /qc then /qh then /qc again then /ql land finally /qc and it will probably have come off by then. But the problem is the commands aren't working well.

(/qc /qp /ql /qh) Command Glitch
•
21st May 2015, 11:30 AM
Hey there! Alright, I believe the title explains it. If you do not know what it is, it is basically where you use a command like /librarian or /wise, and when you quit (/ql or /qc in this case) you cannot get the beard off. Eventually, it will come off after saying ordinary quit commands, (such as /qc, /qp, /ql, and qh) but you will need to use these sometimes more than 5 times for it to come off. There has been 1 case where they tried over 10 times and it came off; this glitch is very frustrating to many users.
Penguins on OldCp ask me every day about this problem, and it is very common when you try to quit anything such as /qh. It seems to never work on the first try, and defeats the purpose of the simplicity of those certain commands. I do not know how this glitch/bug works, but I know it needs to be fixed. I'm still trying to figure out why you have to use other commands such as /qh when you are trying to quit something like wise though.
Anywho, I think this has been a major problem in the past few months, and I believe it deserves being looked into/being fixed. Bye now!

Feedback Discussion Of The Moderator Competition
•
19th May 2015, 02:15 PM
Hey there! Alright, so this will be a long discussion, so please read the whole thing before commenting. Remember, this is only my opinion, so don't go freaking out or something just because I may have offended you. Aswell as this, I would not like to offend anyone in this discussion.
Alright! Well, we just had a moderator competition. The winner of this was in-fact Chex; this was her second Moderator competition she won. I believe two things. The first is that she deserved it. And the second is that she didn't deserve it. Confused? Well, read to learn why.
Why Chex Deserves Moderator
1) She is a very responsible, friendly, kind, and active person.
2) She can take care of a situation easily.
3) She clearly earned her win at the Moderator Competition.
Yes, she is very loyal to the DSGHQ. She can deal with a large number of problems, and loves to help users. She always can make a friend, and helps friends in need. She is creative and fun to be around, and always knows how to make someone's day.
She can talk things out with someone, and is active so she can fulfill her duty as Moderator. She is a role model for others, and will always be there for someone. She has achieved very much, and has a big potential.
Why She Doesn't Deserve Moderator
My problem is that she resigned. She left her position because it was stressful for her and/she didn't want so much put on her. She resigned, and then went to win another Moderator competition. Yeah yeah, that sounds a little selfish. Let me just say I know she very well deserved it. She worked hard to earn it, and did her best to earn it back. But, she resigned because she didn't want to be a Moderator anymore.
Aswell as this, I think that it was unfair that she won a second Moderator Competition. She resigned, only to win another Mod Comp. I would understand if she was demoted and did so, but she personally resigned. In my opinion, it was a wasted Moderator Competition. There are only 4 a year, and although Chex may have potential, I don't think she should have won again.
Another thing is that she didn't participate in all three days of the Mod Comp. She was there the second day, but she left after a few minutes and didn't do anything else in the comp. She came back, but she didn't do anything to lead the team on day 2.
Very close Moderator Competition. But because Chex only participated for two days of the competition, I don't think she deserved to win. I believe there should have been a sudden death round because the top two were so close to each other.
Conclusion
Yeah, I know, this may sound extremely selfish. And for some parts, I agree. But I made this post for a reason. I believe that if Chex wanted Moderator back, that she could have earned it. But instead, she won a second Moderator Competition after resigning. Since there are only 4 a year, I believe she wasted it for others. Wow okay, I'm acting veery selfish right now ._. My point is she is extremely amazing, and in my opinion deserves Moderator, but I think that she shouldn't have won for the reasons I listed. Now, don't go hating me because I made this post. Chex is a friend of mine, and I think she is amazing. Sorry if I offended you *-* Byeee

Being Recognized Because Of A Rank
•
14th May 2015, 04:09 PM
Hey there! I see this all the time: walking past a normal user to greet a user with a rank. Saying hi to all the users with ranks and ignoring the normal users. Responding to ranked users even from the other side of a room. Sitting next to a ranked users leaving normal users to bite the dust. One thing these scenarios have in common? Ranked users getting better treatment than regular users.
Some of you may think, "Oh, well I don't treat users like that." And maybe you don't. I'm talking about the topic in general; many users are ignored and don't get the treatment they deserve just because they don't have the biggest role in the community. I see this happening everyday, and it shouldn't be tolerated.
Now, I have a lot of friends that have ranks. This doesn't mean I treat regular users differently. It just means I know most staff members better than some users. I could be better at knowing regular users, but we all could. Although this isn't a problem for many, it is a problem for me. Here is the main reason I believe people do this:
They would like to 'suck up' as others call it, and get a good recommendation from ranked users. (ex. being really close to a user with a rank only to have a better reputation in that user's perspective)
Yep, that is what you heard. I'm not blaming people for doing this, nor am I saying that everyone does this, but I know it happens. The problem with this is that you are hungry for a rank more than friends. Although you do not need to know everyone on OldCp, you need to at least consider other penguin's feelings, for some feel extremely ignored and alone. We as a community need to do a better job at recognizing them.
Friends are to be valued in the end. What will a rank be if you have no one to share your conversations and life with? I made this post because I am seeing people getting more recognition just because they have a rank. Even if they are very helpful, wise, confident, friendly, and giving, there are other users who could have the same characteristics but aren't recognized for them. We need to confront users for who they are, not for the title/rank they have been given. This will make everyone feel equal, no matter what their actions are. Thank you for reading, and please feel free to tell me what you think is wrong and correct in this post; I love hearing your feedback. Bye now!
