Idea For Oldcp
•
13th May 2015, 06:39 PM
Alright, well, this idea isn't needed in my opinion. Anyone can report to a Moderator on the Forums or just tell them in person. Plus, you can just tell a Moderator online if this happens. Not to be rude, but I don't think idea would be useful because regular users could spam this to a Moderator. And if it shows when a Moderator comes online, they would most likely have been spammed with 10 messages or more. Although this could be a little useful, there are more pros than cons.

Online Bravery

This is a very serious post. I would like to talk about something you probably haven't thought about before. Please know that this isn't geared toward anyone. I'd advise you to read the whole discussion before posting on it. Ily guys, please know that.
What is online bravery? This is basically being more courageous online than you would be in real life. An example of this would be if someone said ingame, "I'm going to kill _______ in real life hahaha". Someone replies with, "Go for me, I'm the one you really want." Although this isn't really a valid explanation, I want to show you guys that this isn't something you would say in real life.
If there was a murderer in your neighborhood, and he/she calls you up on your phone saying he/she will kill you, would you really respond with "Go for it". Now, I understand this isn't what's happening, but I want to let you know that you shouldn't respond like this just because you're online.
You know what? I shouldn't be doing this, but I'll give an example. I know, I said I wouldn't gear this toward anyone, but for the general public. Take a look at this:
In this case, the person is acting like this is a serious matter that you would deal with in real life. Please know that this is a game. Yes there are knights on OldCp that risk their lives for OldCp, yet they shouldn't be going around acting like this is real life and your life is actually on the line.
I'm so sorry if this was rude in any way. This is just my opinion, and I feel like it has to be spoken. The general summary of this discussion was that this is a game. You shouldn't be acting like your life is in danger when it's not. Don't be etremely courageous knowing that you would never do these things in real life. Please feel free to leave your opinion on my discussion, because this is an important matter to me. Thank you very much; goodbye.

LEGO Empire: Vehicles Preview
•

Lovely! All the previews you've shown are extraordinary; I cannot wait for the game to officially come out. This game will be different than all the others; multiple servers with different purposes, many types of guns, multiple vehicles to travel in, and much more to come our way! This will be an amazing DSGHQ Summer, I just know it. Good luck with programming/creating the game; I know it will turn out great!

Report him to Administration (of your school) // tell your parents. They're always understanding, and besides, he's just trying to get into your mind. Don't let him do that to you; just fight through it and everything will be alright. But seriously, that's a threat and if you think about it, he could get in serious trouble from it. Don't let it get to your soul Sam, you're amazing inside and out, and if someone wants to ruin your day or make you think insecurely about yourself, let them. Because they don't have what you do: a loving community that will help you through problems. Although we can't do anything about it, you can. Be a warrior Sam. Tell people about this, and maybe he'll reconsider messing with your mind. Good luck c:

Having Patience & Endurance
•
4th May 2015, 09:10 PM
Hey there! Today I would like to say something that I feel a lot of people could learn from. Remember, this is only my opinion, so I am not trying to offend anyone or pick on someone. The topic I would like to talk having patience and endurance, which I feel some people lack.
Patience
Patience can be used in different circumstances. Mainly, I've seen people say things like, "I've been here for a year and I never got moderator!" Well, you need to be patient. You cannot earn anything in a day, and on the other hand, just because you've been here for a long time doesn't mean you can just get a rank. You have to be trusted, active, responsible, loyal, helpful, kind, willing, etc. Having patience is key, because whether it takes 10 minutes or years to do something, there will always be a reward at the end. You just have to choose the right path and walk on it until you find your destination. Trust me, although many things seem hard now, patience will lead you to another path called wisdom. It makes you realize things for the greater good. Your path may not be straight, but it will always lead you toward the right answer in the end. Giving up isn't what a determined person does; they'll fight till the very end. And that's what we have to do sometimes. We have to get through things with patience just like we have to get through life. Your time may not be now, but there is always opportunities in the future.
Endurance
Endurance is different than patience. Endurance is basically putting up with something for a long time. Here is an example: "STOP DOING THAT!! ITS SO ANNOYING!!" Endurance like patience is something you would need to have when earning a rank//doing anything for that matter. The problem with not having endurance is that you can't do a consistent job or keep up with something annoying and tedious such as waiting or redundant jobs//activities. To endure something, it involves patience and thought. Sometimes we have to lets things be what they are. If it escalates into something bad, then tell someone about it and it can be resolved. Losing your tempter easily isn't a good trait to have, especially when you are trying out for a rank. By using endurance, others will tolerate you easier, and you will learn to deal with things in a responsible matter.
These two traits are great to have at any given time when you are trying to make friends, help someone out, earn a rank, etc. If you would like to respond on how other traits can help you, feel free to leave a comment. If you disagree with what I'm saying, give me your feedback on what I did wrong. Thank you for reading, and I hope this helped in any way possible. Bye now!

How To Use All Add-ons From The Store
•
2nd May 2015, 02:01 PM
Hey there! Today I would like to create a Help & Support post on how to use all of the add-ons from the store. These include:
What Each Of The Add-ons Do
Nickname Glow: Adds a color glow to your nickname. The color type is translucent, meaning it looks lighter than Nickname Color.
Nickname Color: Adds a color to the inside of your nickname. The color type is solid.
Profile Background: Shows an Img for the background of your profile.
Rainbow Glow: Adds a glow//color to your nickname. Aswell as this, it also makes it look more like a 3-D texture.
Not a Stalker: This allows you to go on someone's profile without them knowing you were on it.
Closed Mailbox: Prevents anyone from sending a PM to you.
Decorate Profile I: Adds a url to the inside of your profile.
Title Color: This makes your title a different color.
Forum Color: It makes the inside of the Forums a different color.
Longer Titles: Makes Discussion titles longer.
How To Use Hex Related Add-Ons
Hex related add-ons are the following:
Here is how you use hex related add-ons:
1) Find any hex. (Ex ff0000) To find a hex, search online for ones you would want, such as blue hexes or yellow hexes.
2) Go to 'Edit My Profile' on your profile page.
3) Scroll down to the bottom where you will find a hex related add-on. (Like the ones above)
4) Copy the hex you wanted, and paste it in the add-on you want it.
5) Example: You want a blue hex for your Forum Color. Find a blue hex (Ex 0000ff), and copy this. Go to your profile, and paste it in Forum Color. It will now show your Forum Color as blue.
How To Use Off & On Add-Ons
Off & on add-ons are the following:
Here is how you use off & on add-ons:
1) Go to your profile and click 'Edit My Profile'
2) Scroll down to the bottom where you will find an on & off add-on.
3) 0 = off // 1 = on. (Ex: If you had Longer Titles, you would use 1 to turn it on)
4) You can then type longer titles for Longer Titles, close your mailbox so no one can PM you with Closed Mailbox, and have it so you don't show yourself on someone's profile with Not a Stalker. You can turn it off anytime.
How to use Img add-ons
Img add-ons are the following:
Here is how to use Img add-ons:
1) Find an img url on the internet or any reliable source. ( Ex: http://www.damenspike.com/dsghq_empire_logo.png?4 )
2) Go to 'Edit My Profile'
3) Scroll down to the bottom and click on any Img add-ons.
4) Copy the img url from your source and paste it onto the Img add-on you'd like.
5) You now have a photo on an img add-on. (Ex: If you did Profile Background, everyone would see that picture as the background for your profile)
Well, that is basically it. I hope this helps the next time you'd like to buy something from the store. Bye now!

The Feedback Discussion Of Freddy & Bakon
•
2nd May 2015, 09:07 AM
Hello there. This will be a very honest post. This is my opinion on what is happening to Freddy and Bakon. They are both great friends of mine, and would always wish for best intentions. Although they have had mistakes in the past, I believe they were both demoted unfairly. This post was created so that you could hear their stories; my opinion. I then would like you to reply on this discussion your opinion about Bakon and Freddy.
Bakon
Bakon is a great guy. He has previously been Moderator and Detective, and is currently Most Wise. But, there is a story behind his demotion. His most commonly known story was that he was doing homework and someone cussed. He came back on to ban the guy only to be demoted. I would like to tell you about this.
This was not Bakon's fault in my opinion. He was just doing some homework and also Moderating on OldCp, and some random person walks up and cusses. Since then, Bakon has been trying to get a Moderator's attention to see if they were caught off-guard. There is many reasons to do this. He was demoted because of being un-attentive, but let me just say something. If another Moderator were to have been there to ban that person cussing, Bakon wouldn't have been demoted.
Moderators in fact don't see everything. They sometimes are talking to friends, or are on brb, and they don't realize what is happening around them. If this were to happen, you should report it to a Forums Moderator (if they are online) and let them handle it. I don't think Bakon should have been demoted. Let me tell you some flaws he made though.
Doing homework while Moderating. I've done that before; its hard to do both at once. I believe that he could have done homework in his igloo, so that he could finish the homework without the worry of a user cussing. Although, some are good multi-taskers and can do both at once. Another flaw I think he made was that in order to get a Moderator's attention to see if they were doing their job, he spammed snowballs and sounds. This was not the way to go. Although, he does not have limited options in my opinion. He was demoted without a good reason, and he didn't have much to do. I understand that this could mislead you, and some may believe that for his actions he has to pay the price of demotion, but in all truth, he did nothing wrong in the first place. This is only my opinion, you are allowed to comment on yours.
*Edit* Bakon was doing a job for his dad. This is similar to doing homework because you cannot do both at once, and it is hard to Moderate while doing something else. Everything else still applies. *Edit*
Freddy
The guy with many names. A guy from v2. An amazing gentleman who aswell as Bakon has best intentions. Here is his story that most nobody knows. He was off with a guard one day, and the guard asks him a question. "Could you tell me about the PW's", he says. Freddy replies, and automatically he gets reported for leaking information. He was frustrated, and ended up getting demoted.
If you had seen Freddy's honesty post, you would have seen that he told everyone what really happened. He did not deny the things he did, and that is what an honest and humble person would do. He ends up getting killed, demoted, banned, and ignored because of this action. This was truly unfair, because Freddy (although doing something wrong) had admitted for what he had done and wanted no hate in return for his honesty. Instead, he was punished for telling the truth.
I know, Freddy had done a few bad things. Freddy only means best. He has been a best friend of mine since forever, and I believe this discussion is well deserved. In my opinion, his good actions cover up his bad deeds. I believe we should forget the bad things he did and give him another chance. His circumstance was the same as Bakons. He was demoted unfairly.
Now, some of your opinions might say otherwise, but let me explain even further. Have you ever heard the ever so famous quote from Benjamin Franklin, "Honesty is the best policy." It reminds us that even if one has done poorly, they can almost always make up for it. Freddy, I believe deserves a chance once again. Maybe not at the rank he had, but maybe something smaller. Maybe we could stop ignoring him, helping him through this tough time, or ever letting him have his in-game file back. He honestly wants to help the DSGHQ, but with you guys bringing him down, its just get harder for him to get back up. Again, this is my opinion.
Conclusion
In my opinion, they should both be recognized in humanity again. They both were demoted for unfair reasons, and both want to protect the DSGHQ. They are both very amazing & admit their mistakes. They would like to prove to you guys that they are ready to earn your trust again. They want you guys to believe in them. I know, because they are true friends. And true friends always stick together, no matter what.
This discussion was dedicated to them, for working so hard. They have made mistakes before, but they both hope that one day this could be left behind. This whole post was my honest opinion, and as I said, feel free to leave yours. This discussion isn't toward anybody. I would just like all of you to know these guy's stories, and how they were betrayed by almost all their friends because of this. I love these guys, because they are family, and family always sticks together. Thank you.

Think Before You Speak
•

I would like to make a long response to this. You are absolutely correct; there are many things like this irl and in-game which I have seen. Although, in some parts, they would only be for in-game. For example,
I think this quote could be said enthusiastically, but could also be said in a harsh way. And someone told you that you had a weird smile? That was very rude of them. You see, no human has or ever will be perfect. We can't make ourselves appealing to everyone, when there will always be that person to tell you that you are weird and ugly. But those people are having trouble themselves most likely. Maybe they are having hard times in their life, and they have to take it out on somebody else.
My final response was to the paragraph on victimizing yourself. This was both in-game and irl, and I agree very much. As humans, we tend to make the blame on ourselves // make others feel worse just because we can't process something. All these problems you talk about are mostly true, because we're only human. Such an amazing post, +1.

Funeral Of Prince Archie Stag
•
1st May 2015, 05:51 PM
Today was a gloomy day as we attended Archie's public funeral. The funeral was filled with much sadness and tears; aswell as speeches and a turning of events.
Description Of The Funeral
As you walk in, you will see Prince Archie I himself, dead & holding a sword.
As you can see in the picture, Prince Archie has his crown on. He is laying on a coffin, with a Golden Stag on it. This represents that Archie was a Lord of house Stags.
If you look in this picture, the pennant colors and symbols were changed. The pennant that is white has the House Spike on it, and the black pennants have the house Stag on it.
In this picture, you can see the black carpet with a Stag on it. All these symbols and changes of the Thrones are meaningful; this was definitely a special funeral for Prince Archie Stag.

The Funeral Itself
We start off the funeral placing our flowers on Archie's coffin.
We gave him our flowers to resemble our peace and love; Archie appreciates this very much, even if he can't be there physically.
Next we did speeches. Iceesofie gave a wonderful speech for Prince Archie Stag, and I believe he enjoyed it very much.
Here we are; as we shout out "Now he is with Shrek". We let Archie rest in peace, as we prepare his body for a funeral party.
Before the Funeral Party, Damen burns the body of Archie. As Prince Archie turns into ashes, his soul shall be free. Prince Archie Stag will be released of pain, and his spirit will return to the body of Prince Archie II.
In a surprising turn of events, Dancebear has healed Archie! We honor Prince Archie Stag very much, and are grateful for Princess Healer Dancebear for healing him. Prince Archie Stag II shall take on the duties of the first, such as his title, his job, his house, etc. In other words, Prince Archie will still be alive, but Prince Archie II will be the official Prince.

After all this, we heard some wisdom from Bobot and our most experienced Hand Gaurd & Moth Priest Mico. Mico suggested that Bobot should become part of the Wise Council, and after thinking it through, Damen agreed that Bobot will become a Wise One. Congratulations Bobot; you're future is ahead of you.
Along with that, Rae has earned her title of Trusted Moderator. (Trusted Moderators get titles) Not only Rae, but Ollo has proven himself worthy and trusted, and they both earned their titles. Congratulations to both of them!
In the end, this funeral had a happily ever after; Archie was healed; many were promoted, and this gloomy day turns out to be a glorious one. Thank you all for coming, and I hope everyone had a great time!

OldCp Graveyard

Hey there! Tonight there was a penguin that gave me a great idea. He was talking about why only Staff members got a special funeral for dying. Well, I had a thought that I think would satisfy everyone.
Well, have you ever seen the 9/11 memorial? It was made for the people that died in 9/11. I think it would be great if there was a memorial // graveyard for those innocent users who have died before. This includes mass shootings and 1 v 1. There would be a special place in the graveyard for those who risked their lives for OldCp, and another place for those who were killed by mass shootings or just killers on the loose.
The way that it would work is that there would be a new room created. This would be the OldCp Graveyard, where you could visit the tombstones of those who were innocently killed or those who have put their bravery ahead of themselves. When you visit a tombstone, it would show the description of the user's death, such as how they died and why they died. I believe a graveyard should be included because there are a lot of users that aren't recognized.
This would not include everyone that has died, but the majority of those deaths would be included. This is just an idea, so feel free to comment on your thoughts about this. I believe it would suit the DSGHQ well because regular users and staff members can get recognized; whether they fought for their lives or lost their lives innocently. Thank you for reading, bye now!

About Plagiarism & Badges
•
30th April 2015, 01:10 PM
Hey there! Today, I would like to talk about something I have seen before and have seen a lot just recently. I want to talk about Plagiarism, but more importantly Plagiarism to earn badges. Remember, I'm not talking about anyone in general.
Okay, so this used to be a huge thing back then. There would be people making multiple files, and just spamming posts to get more gold. Obviously, this problem has been resolved, but I would like to talk about something else right now. So you know there are 4 main badges you can earn by making a post: Minecraft badge, Coldplayer badge, Ringbearer badge, and Singer of Ice and Fire badge. To get these badges + 10 gold each, there is a certain name in which you have to use for the Discussion name to get the badge. People do this, and then find information on Wikipedia or another website.
My problem with this is that you are not allowed to plagiarize. This is actually illegal, meaning if it was a very vital piece of information and you stole it from like a book and quoted it yourself, you could get arrested. None of us will get arrested obviously, but there are consequences for those who do plagiarize. Plagiarizing is a shameful thing to do around this community, and it shall not be excepted.
But for the most part, I'm talking about plagiarizing for badges. They find a source on Wikipedia or on the internet, use that source (not everyone), and then create the discussion. This allows them to easily get 10 gold, a badge, and basically no work necessary. For those of you who do this and know it's wrong, I suggest you stop before getting in real trouble. For those of you that do this and DON'T realize this is a bad thing, I also inform you to stop. As I've said multiple times, plagiarizing will not be taken lightly.
Thank you for reading, I would just like to get the topic out there to make sure people know not to do this. If you would like the badges, please earn them by maybe researching the topic or finding information online. Make sure to use your own words, you wouldn't want to plagiarize. Bye now!

Hating On Feedback Discussions
•
27th April 2015, 05:00 PM
Please read the whole discussion before commenting.
Hello there! Please know that this is not a hate discussion, nor is this toward anyone. I'm just speaking my opinion. Lately, and by lately I mean for a while now, I have been seeing a lot of hate on Feedback Discussions. If you don't know what I mean, read the following paragraphs.
Speaking opinions is a good thing. It gives people your thoughts on a topic, and there can be good and bad opinions. Good opinions are where you give your reply on a topic, such as, "Wow this is great!" or something along the lines of constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is where you give your opinion on how things could get better.
The problem is that some people take it too far. These are the people that think everything it taken towards them. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but you should not take things under consideration before understanding a topic. An example is the trial coming up. Freddy (Freddey) and Matthewvacc are accused of leaking information, cussing, etc. Some people automatically say something rude like, "FOR SHAME FREDDY" even if they don't know the full truth. That is what a trial is for, to see what is the truth and what the false statement is. What I'm saying is that you should not take something so seriously until you actually know its true.
Another thing I wanted to say is that people are speaking their full word on something, which includes some hate. Although it is the Feedback section, you are not permitted to hate, but to give your opinion//feedback on things. Now, if the discussion is like, "I THINK THAT STAFF DOES AN AWFUL JOB AND SHOOD BE ARESTED!!111!!11!!1!" then you may only speak your opinion along the lines of, "You shouldn't be creating a post like this. It could cause drama; this is a false statement and I think the staff does a fine job." But I don't think there should be major hate on a discussion for no reason.
Now, I'm not saying that you can't speak your opinion. I have nothing wrong with that, but when you purposefully hate on something because you feel like it, your doing something wrong. I would not like to see a community fight over an opinion they have when some opinions are best if they just stay in. Another thing I wanted to say is that some people try to correct everything another does, and then make them feel bad for making a mistake. I honestly don't see why we as a community should be like this to others if they make a mistake.
The final thing I wanted to say something about is dislikes. Disliking is another way to express your opinion, but ever since the community formed, I've seen many posts that get added hate because someone disliked it. Many posts I have seen got 1 dislike, and it just added on from there. If it is a hate discussion I would understand, but for people speaking their honest opinion I don't get why there should be hate on it. Although none of us are perfect including me, we should all try to lower the hate on Feedback Discussions; even discussions in general. Many people just go with what other people do, and if you see something wrong you can express yourself and go a different path.
Please remember this isn't for anyone. I love all of you guys, and I would never want to hurt anyone. This is just my opinion on what I've seen, and I wanted to talk to you guys about it. I would love your feedback, whether you'd like to give me constructive criticism or your opinion on what I've had to say. Thanks for taking your time to read this, I hope you understand what I mean. Bye now.
