Where I'm Going To Be In The Next Few Days
•
22nd April 2015, 05:18 PM
Hey there! Okay, so as most of you know, my birthday is coming up this Saturday. (April 25) Guess where I'm going? TOO LATE. Disney World, USA! Here's like a lil' picture I drew:
Okay yeah its awful; its a little blurred so lemme just describe it. That lil' person with the heart eyes is me, I have a lil' mickey hat; the bubble in the left hand corner is me thinking about a Ferris wheel, and the bubble on the right is me thinking about a mickey hat with an 'H' on it & a Minnie hat with a 'G' on it.
Anyway, from Thursday - Saturday, me & penguin & our dad will be at Disney World, so I most likely won't be able to get on. If I do, it will be late in the night or really early in the morning, and it won't be for long. I won't be back until Sunday, so if your wondering why I'm gone, just look at this post. Although, if I don't get on the DSGHQ on Saturday, please celebrate my birthday w/out me. I'll see your lil' moods and posts and stuff when I get back, and that'll be enough to make my day. That's about it; have a nice day & wish me a good time!

This is what I'm saying. These stories that you make up sound like you want to be superior. People won't love you if you make up these stories; you sound like a complete jerk to others. I mean, seriously, you stole money from a poor kid in one of your stories, and that is just so rude. In another, you beat up some kids and then a girl kissed you for it; this isn't what a hero would do. Heroes are humble, they do things for the benefit of others, and you are no hero. Making up stories will only dig you a deeper hole, so if you want to make it bigger, keep on making these stories. Please at least try to consider saying sorry.

Sherlock, you can make up as many stories as you want, but we won't think they are real. For almost all of the stories you have made up, you have said that they were true stories. How would you know you were orphaned at 1? You wouldn't. If you did all the things you have said you have done such as being a bully to others irl, stealing money from a poor kid, and so so many more things, you would have been in juvenile detention by now. Don't do this anymore, I am tired of your lies. I wouldn't like to sound rude, but you just put yourself in deeper trouble for every story you make up. We won't forgive you if you keep this up. Learn from your mistakes quickly or something major could happen. (like it already hasn't) Byee ;s

Imperial Knight App [CHRYS]
•
19th April 2015, 07:42 PM
As I've said before, you are a fast achiever. I do believe your application is quite amazing, and I think you should have a chance as Imperial Knight. You have a high potential, and I think you'd do so great. In your application, you showed pretty accurate videos and vital information. It was very well formatted, and you know just what to say. Although, on your arrest video, you have some inaccurate information. If a person cusses, you would automatically arrest them. There would be no warnings or anything, they would just be arrested.
Other than that, your application was splendid. Its the first one I've seen that had videos in it, and you seem ready for the rank. You are extremely mature, and when you aren't, your silly for the fun of it. This rank is well deserved for you. Good luck on your journey, I know this isn't just the first step. +1 ;p

Short Post Reminder
•
19th April 2015, 04:43 PM
Hey there! Just a reminder, short posts are allowed. I have been seeing many people everyday saying something along the lines of, "Sorry for the short post". The thing is that there isn't really such a thing as a short post. (except for the photo below of rules about the topic) Here is the disucssion Damen created over a year ago saying that they are allowed: http://forums.damenspike.com/view/?id=9229
The only thing not allowed is shown here in the rules:
I created this post because even after Damen's discussion was created, people are still saying that they apologize for a short post. As long as it doesn't break the rules above, anything is fine. Thank you for reading, please take this under consideration for those of you who still think short posts will get you in trouble. Bye!

What Do You Think Of Moderators?
•
18th April 2015, 12:04 PM
Hey there! Today, I would like to explain to you what Moderators do on a regular basis. I have thought about it, and I believe this post should be created because a few of you (only a few) are thinking that Moderators don't do their jobs, and I'd like to talk about this.
The job of a DSGHQ Moderator is to protect and serve the DSGHQ Empire. They are to protect users from people who cuss, bully, harass, impersonate, etc. Although, some have been complaining that Moderators aren't doing their job. Well, I agree and disagree on this. I agree because Moderators don't do their jobs 24/7, they are allowed breaks. May I remind you that Moderators are also normal users, and they don't just live to do their job. Damen has even said that Moderators shouldn't take their job full on, and can be silly once in a while. To be honest, sometimes I can slack off. I mean, as a group, Moderators do their job well, but we do sometimes talk to other Moderators or something like that and forget our job.
Now, this is the part where I disagree. Moderators aren't slaves to their jobs. They shouldn't be able to receive every beckoning call. I also disagree with people that say Moderators 'suck' at their job. We do our best at Moderating, but we're all kids at heart. We have friends aswell as most anyone and we like to communicate while online. But its rude to tell someone to do their job every waking second that they are on. You know, we came here to have fun; we all did. We still do, but for the users that give us the most grief, it makes our job harder than it is.
We're all imperfect. We can't just solve all the problems on OldCp in a minute, nor can we assure you that everything will be alright. We do our best to comfort and help users as much as possible, while being able to relax on the game we love. In my point of view, I believe both sides are right, but at a certain point. Moderators can be unhelpful at times, but we make mistakes. We can be on brb, which most people do aswell. We should be able to do things normal users can without being yelled at; although we do have a responsibility to take care of which is Moderating.
Moderators are mostly helpful, and if we aren't, you let us know. We'd always love to hear your judgement to improvise the DSGHQ and our tactics. If you knew how much of a struggle Moderating can be, you'd probably think twice about wanting the rank. Our job can be made into turmoil when trollers and rude users purposefully come up to us and spam, cuss, or troll us in any way. But we get through. We love all users the same, and we love our job.
If you would like to reply on how good/bad you think Moderators do at their job, I'd love to hear it. Like I said, there is always room for improvement. We may not be perfect, but we'd like to try our best to make the users of the DSGHQ Empire happy. Thanks for reading, I love how you take your time to read my considerately long discussions. Bye

Fable Plagiarized
•
17th April 2015, 04:33 PM
Hey there! I would like to report that Fable isn't as wise and humble as he seems. Today, he has made "Wisdom of Fable Part 2" which was completely plagiarized. He said at the end ~Fable, meaning that he is saying that he created this.
I realized that it had to be plagiarized, so I looked on multiple plagiarism checkers. I found out that I was correct. What he was saying were verses from Proverbs 1 (from the Bible), specifically Proverbs 1:11. There was no unique content on any of the websites I found, and yet Fable is saying that it came from him. Here is a picture on one of the websites showing that it was plagiarized.
And here is the website that he pragiarized it from in another: http://biblehub.com/proverbs/1-11.htm
It shows it on most bible sites and in all bibles; he clearly has plagiarized. Who knows? He could be plagiarizing other things. I don't think Fable should be wise. He isn't humble, I have seen him multiple times saying that he is the best Wise one, and he even said that he should be Most Wise. I believe that he plagiarized on his other wise quotes aswell, but I haven't looked into it.
My point is that Fable isn't wise nor humble. A true wise one wouldn't boast. A real wise one would create his own wisdom, and be humble at the same time. I think Fable should be demoted, for if he cannot be truly wise, then he shouldn't be wise at all. Thank you.

That's what I like about you; you can always word something well. You have a convincing point, because we can all have our moments. There are some things that everyone regrets at some point in their life, and I have had my share. I believe you should have your rank back, but starting out as Moderator. When the time comes where Damen is ready to give you Administrator back, I'll be there supporting you. I have had bad thoughts about you every now and then, but I know that at heart your a good guy. This is just my opinion; you've already started to pick yourself back up. You handle the things that Damen trusts you with (such as DJ, Blog, etc) well, and I want you to have my vote. It might not be much, but every vote counts. Good luck on your journey m8.

Guys, listen up and listen well. Its both of us causing the drama. She's just telling us how she feels, and we're rejecting and disliking her posts because she has told her opinion. It is also somewhat her in ways I would not like to explain, but she is 8. She probably doesn't realize the drama she has caused. And we're no better; we're just keeping the drama going by replying hatefully and disliking everything she does. I'm not on any side; in my opinion both sides are causing the problem. She is sad because we've been mean to her in the past; but we can change this. We should make this up to her; she really means well on the inside.

Only Being Attentive To Moderators
•
16th April 2015, 04:41 PM
Hey there! Lately, I have been seeing something that displeases me. There have been users that are interacting with Moderators more than regular users.
Let me give you an example. There is a lonely penguin, sitting by themselves, and there are 5 Moderators online. You finally say, "Hey (moderator name, moderator name, moderator name, moderator name, and moderator name.)" Then they walk up to a Moderator on the ground and sit by them. That lonely user is still sitting there, hoping that he/she would find a friend.
My point is that I see users almost everyday that ignore others that don't have ranks. The problem with this is that they are surrounding themselves with ranks, usually hoping to get a good reputation. Moderators are normal users in disguise. They only have been given the responsible power to Moderate over others. They are like everyone else; they aren't more special than other users.
My problem with this is that those users sitting alone get unnoticed, and it makes them feel like no one cares about them. In our community, all users should be given the same respect. People such as Moderators shouldn't get treated better than anyone else; except for you shouldn't hate on them for doing their job.
The next time you have to make a choice between a lonely user and a Moderator, pick the lonely user. They don't get as much attention as a Moderator would, so they would feel less respected as a user. Recognize them as who they really are, and feel free to have others greet them. Moderators {or other ranks} shouldn't get special treatment just because of their power & rank. Thanks for reading, and please know that none of my messages are geared for anyone in general, just geared for the general public. I wouldn't ever try to harm anyone with words. Bye!

Random DSGHQ Statistics
•
14th April 2015, 08:35 PM
Hey there! Today I was bored, so I gathered some random DSGHQ facts, so here they are!
Well thats basically it. I bet your raelly happy you read this Byeeeee
- The most popular penguin color on OldCp is brown, followed by black. Out of ten, the usual amount for brown is 5, and the usual amount of black is 3.
- 'raelly' is the most popular of rae puns, which can be used in multiple conversations, such as:
"That is a raelly great outfit!"
"Raelly? That again?"
"I raelly don't feel good today."
"Wait, so do you like him or raelly like him?"
- 4 PM - 6 PM EST has the most discussions during an average day, while 2 AM - 4 AM EST has the least amount.
- Goldfish77 is the most active user, with 196 hours in total since March 24th. She has played an average of 9 hours a day, which is around 25 minutes each hour.
- The top 20 twenty snowball teams have at least 80 deaths. The best ratio for kills to deaths is 3.8:1. This means that a team {Avatars} has gotten 3.8 kills for every 1 death received.

Blogger Applications

Username: CPManiac // Maniac @OldCp
Experience w/ Blogging: Well, I was a blogger, but never really created a post. I would say I'm not a blogger anymore, but I would like to give myself a fresh start and show what a Blogger really is.
Experience w/ Moderation: I am currently an OldCp Moderator; I have been Forums Moderator before and I think this range quite suits me. I haven't been Moderator on other CPPS's nor should that matter on an application.
Age: 14 {As of April 25th}
Time Zone: EST
Email: [email protected]
How many times per week can you post? I would say one quality post a week, twice depending on my schedule & the events going on during the current season.
Why do I want to be a blogger? Well, I have always been fond of creating material; especially fanfictions and poems. I believe the blogging area suits me for I have exceptionable grammar and spelling, I have knowledge on almost everything that goes on around OldCp, and I'm active. I would be able to update the blog as much as 5 times a month with correct and interesting material. I would like to become a blogger because writing means so much to me (along with Mathematics which is beside the point); I would be able to fit the position well I believe. I wouldn't say I am the perfect fit for the description of a blogger, nor do I have a perfect resume, but I do have hope and interest, which wouldn't let me down. I want blogger because I want to give everyone a description of what goes on around OldCp. Not just events, but everything that makes us original besides other CPPS's. I hope you consider me part of the blogging team.

Your Goals Are As Far As You Think
•
14th April 2015, 08:29 AM
Hello there fellow penguins! *cough* /qc /outfit springmaniac Ugh, much better. Anyways, today I would like to create a wisdom post. I have been thinking, and a lot of people don't think about this, but their goals are as far as they imagine them to be.
Well, I mean that some people say that they will never achieve their goals, and give up. By doing this, you are letting all your goals and ambitions free telling everyone that you gave up. I'm not just talking about ranks, but people you want to meet, things you want to do, posts you want to make, you name it. If you don't reach the distance, then you won't finish your goal.
Let me give you an example. Someone is trying for a rank, and its been a while since they first started to try and obtain it. They give up, saying, "Ugh, that random person got it before me. I'll never earn it v.v" You gave up, setting that dream aside. Although you may have thought yourself good for something or someone right away, patience is the key. No one ever walked up Mount Everest in a day. (Technically they have, but its a metaphor) They suffered ups and downs, cold and snow, loneliness and pain, but they reach their goal anyways. They are just like you; they didn't lay in the snow waiting to die, they kept going and finished what they started.
This can relate to us because sometimes life is hard. Sometimes we feel like the goals aren't worth the pain, but the pain gives the journey a life. Regret gives the journey life. If we had a flat road, we'd be the car to go straight through it. We could never be perfect, and our journey isn't either. And if you don't finish your journey, then your goal will be ever so far.
Your goals are only as far as you think. If someone teases or makes fun of them, ignore it. Some of the greatest inventors had people telling them, "This will never work!" And yet it did. All our goals are different, and we will all take different paths to get to them. Some may be short flat roads; while others are long and bumpy roads. The way you respond to the road will make a difference. So don't give up on that goal. There is always hope, but it always gets worse before it gets better. Thank you.
Please understand that this is not for everyone; everyone lives in different circumstances, and this could provide hope for others.

OldCp Problems At The Moment
•
12th April 2015, 11:11 AM
Hey there! In the past few weeks, there have been multiple problems on OldCp, specifically the ones I'm about to explain.
Spammers in the middle
There have been many people in the past few days specifically where penguins have been bell spamming and snowball spamming in the middle of the town. The problem with this is that almost all of them don't get consequences because of all the people in the middle.
Difficult to ban people
This problem has been happening in around the last 5 days, and has been mainly one person. I hear reports of these people, I get to the place, see a quick glimpse of him/her, and then they automatically leave. The problem with this is that this guy usually has lowercase L's and uppercase i's in his name; there are many combinations that could be done, and it makes it harder when they leave on you. Even worse, it is so difficult that even if I think I ipbanned all the possible combinations, they keep coming back. Banning will not resolve this, it only gives them another opportunity to let havoc into OldCp. This is the main problem; it gives me the most trouble.
Suggestions
This one does not relate to these problems, but I think I would like to see this. Many people complain that I didn't ban a penguin, but it does not show when a Moderator bans, ipbans, or kicks a player. I believe that from this point on, it should show when a Moderator does one of those things. This would not resolve a problem, I just think it would make things a little simpler.
Another suggestion I had was that we could have all L's and i's on player cards capitalized; this way I could find players like the one I listed above easier to ban and ipban. I really think this would help tremendously because this problem is trending, and takes up much of my time. Thank you for reading.
