Bailey Has Earned Moderator Once Again
•
11th April 2015, 09:24 PM
Hey there! Tonight, there was a session. Blah blah blah, lets get to the good part. Bailey has once again obtained Moderator!
Tennis faithfully asked Bailey if he would (once again) like to become an OldCp Moderator, and Bailey agreed. Sorry, I did not obtain any pictures, but I remember Tennis as he said, "I Tennis, Stag, Prince of the DSGHQ and Empress Sofie pronounce Bailey as a DSGHQ Moderator." Something along the lines of that.
If you don't know Bailey (you'd be crazy if you didn't), he has been a faithful OldCp Moderator countless times, and I am so enthusiastic he took his rightful position back. He resigned in February 2015; only to be asked less than 2 months later by Prince Tennis to become Moderator once again.
Bailey was also the 'Damen Spike GAMES HQ World Champion of Autumn 2014'. He obtained Knight just recently before becoming Moderator again. I'm very proud of Bailey; he is an extremely wise and experienced user, and I'm not surprised that he has achieved all that he has. If Bailey wasn't here, the DSGHQ would have been a different place. Every user has the chance to shape us as a community, and Bailey has done so well. Once again, congratulations Bailey!

Well, a lot of people are glitch banned, resulting in the fact that less and less people can get on. I'm not sure how this glitch ban works, but it does not allow you to get into the chat; whether you were banned or not. I believe this is the reason why there aren't many people on the chat. Other than that, I would say the chat does just fine.

A Mutual Argument
•
9th April 2015, 05:13 PM
Hey there! For the past few days, there has been an argument about Sherlock. Not just the Sherlock predicament, but the people telling others to stop aswell. What I mean is that there are people that are talking about this. It was a few days ago, and there is nothing much else to say about this. People are still talking about this, and then we have the people telling these to stop.
Yes, I agree, this is a thing of the past and there are other people taking care of this. But, that doesn't mean you can create posts telling others to stop. By doing this, your enabling drama and more talk about the topic. This will redo itself, and the circle is already starting to repeat. We shouldn't be telling others that they can't talk about it, and for the others talking about it, just stop. Sherlock has no power as of right now; we shouldn't even be bothering with the topic, and we're fine.
I promise you, if we all just stop talking about this then the conflict will resolve itself. (Including myself) But by keeping it going, more and more will be worried, thus resulting in more posts on the topic. Although I have no power over anyone, I suggest that we all stop. Bye now ;P

Drama Causing More Drama
•
7th April 2015, 06:27 PM
Hey there! Since yesterday, I have seen an uprising in drama, impostors, people cussing, and out of all of this: more drama.
Its annoying really. Since the whole Sherlock thing, people have been freaking out. Please understand that there is nothing to worry about. Others are solving this as of right now; any other parts in the whole Sherlock blowup have resolved. Even after this; impostor after impostor come to the town and annoy Moderators to death.
They throw snowballs at you, make fun of you, and ridicule regular users. On top of all that, they are impostors PERIOD. As of today, I have banned 5 Sherlock imposters. These people keep trying to freak out harmless users. The real Sherlock already did enough harm, and a lot of the impostors think this is a joke. Literally, one of the impostors was making fun of the scared reactions people were making.
However, it isn't just the Sherlock incident. Because of all the drama happening, more people are stressed out; more people are cussing, and more people are bullying others. So many rules have been broken today I can't even tell you how many. A lot of users have been broken from their comfort zones; some just can't take everything in and lose their temper.
My point is all the drama causing drama causes drama. Its an ongoing pattern that won't stop. The only solution is to stop worrying. Yes, most of us are scared about what will happen in the future, but I promise you that everything will be alright. If we try to get through this together, good things will always come. Whatever trouble we are in or could be in; we'll just put it aside and just go on with whatever we'd be doing right now. Lets be optimistic guys! Bye now!

About Creating Channels, Moods, And Albums for XP
•
7th April 2015, 01:24 PM
Hey there! Today I would like to talk to you about something. Ever since levels were created, it gave users a plentiful 100 per level. This was a nice little prize you were given for participating in the Forums. Although, some have taken it too far.
XP was created after the creation of levels. XP is basically given from making channels, moods, and albums, but can also be lowered by making posts and earning reputation. I would not like to point these people out, but these people know what they are doing. Basically, they are spamming channels and albums which can get you xp, resulting in getting levels faster.
For the ones that are doing this, it isn't the right way to earn levels. Another related topic is making tons of posts per day; also resulting in faster levels. The problem with this is not making posts, I'm fine with this. The problem is that some people are creating posts just to get levels; not for the fun of the Forums and posting.
Lets get back on topic. There are some people in which are make multiple albums and channels in a row just to get more levels; I find this greedy. Each level gives you 100 gold, which results in a maximum of 10,000 gold as of right now; along with subtracting 100 for each level you already had before levels were made. My point is that the real reason people are spamming channels, albums, moods, and posts are for the gold and for the levels.
I'm not blaming anyone in general, but I know this is a thing. People are actually doing this for the gold, and it isn't right. Like I said before, the Forums is for the fun of it, not for how much gold you can earn or what level you are. You guys are all unique and amazing without any accessories. Gold and add-ons can be your make-up sometimes, and it covers up how beautiful we can really be. Thank you for reading; please consider your actions if you are doing this.

Don't Abuse Moderator's Powers
•
6th April 2015, 06:01 PM
*note: I am not talking about anyone in particular, so don't be offended by anything I say*
Hey there! Today, I would like to be talking about others abusing Moderator's powers. Don't be confused by the title; I'm not talking about Moderators abusing their own powers, I'm talking about other users abusing a Moderator's powers.
A lot of you may not even know what this is. Let me give you a few examples of this:
There are other examples, so I could go on and on. My point is that you should not abuse a Moderator's powers // make a Moderator look bad purposefully. This is not respectful nor loyal to your community, basically just saying these people are trolls trying to make others lose their jobs. Moderators do their best to keep this community safe, but with people trolling and lying it makes our job harder to ban and jail the right people; those people are to be punished for their actions.
If we can't ban those people, then they are just running around doing bad things; of course most get banned eventually, but it leads us Moderators into false suspicions and others get the blame for some of these things. And to make things even worse, there are impostors and people with lowercase L's and uppercase i's that make my job and other Moderator's jobs harder. This is another case that doesn't necessarily abuse a Moderator's powers, but it makes my job more frustrating; and for the people with lowercase L's and uppercase i's in their names, we can't really ipban them saying that in their names, there could be millions of combinations. Some of those people NEVER get ipbanned.
I came up with the idea that all L's and i's on a player card would be capitalized, so that we could ipban these people when necessary. 99.9% of the people that have these names cuss and bully; they have those names to confuse Moderators. This would make my job a little easier; we would have these people out of the way. My main point of this whole message is that a Moderator's job isn't easy. With all these people abusing and making fun of our powers, it makes it harder and harder to keep OldCp safe. To all the trolling, lying, and cheating users out there, I want you to guys to hear me. The staff does not tolerate behavior that goes against Moderators. I'm not saying that you should follow everything a Moderator tells you to do, I'm saying that you should follow the rules because we have best intentions for OldCp and the DSGHQ. Thanks for reading.

A lot of you may not even know what this is. Let me give you a few examples of this:
- Asking for a Moderator to summon someone. (I can't do this without permission; this would be rude to summon someone for your own purposes like hide and seek)
- Telling a Moderator multiple times to ban someone for being mean. (Bullying deserves an automatic ban, but I'm talking about people telling me to ban innocent people)
- Telling a Moderator to kick/ban/ipban someone for using a bell or whistle once, which isn't considered spamming.
- Asking a Moderator to ban someone for not doing what they want.
- Lying to a Moderator multiple times about who was innocent and who wasn't. (An example is a group lying to me about who did something and I falsely warn or jail someone)

Facts About Discussions Per Day
•
5th April 2015, 05:18 PM
Hey there! So today, I felt like doing an average of discussions. As of now, we have just reached 40,000 discussions and counting. Let me show you some cool averages I have come up with.
In the past week, the average amount of discussions per day was around 102 - 113 discussions, with the most being 118 discussions a day and least being 98. In the first week the Forums was made, there was an average of around 5 - 16 discussions, with the most being 21 and the least being 3.
Do you know what this means? This shows high achievement. At the rate we're going, we'll reach 50,000 discussions around July 1st - July 4th. This would mean the average amount of discussions would be around 110 - 120 discussions per day, increasing as the days go on. We can achieve so much in the next year; the same for years to come.
We the people are the ones that make this happen. If we set our minds to it, we can achieve most anything logically possible. You guys are all amazing; whether or not you haven't achieved your goals. Trust me, we're all somebody in someone's heart; you just have to find your family, and that's us. We'll stick together, through good times and bad. A bump in the road isn't a bad thing; it'll carve us into we are. It makes us unique; the ability to choose different paths. There will always be bad things, but if you don't learn from them, you won't get anywhere. This comes in mind when you want to achieve something. You will always have struggles, but we'll struggle together to illuminate our own paths. Thanks for reading; I hope this inspired you in multiple ways. Byeeee!

Not So New Addition To Forums
•
3rd April 2015, 05:42 PM
Hey there! So recently, a lot of people have been asking what a 'spoiler' is on the Forums. It was not a new addition, yet the earliest I have seen it in a post is March 5th.
Anyways, the way spoiler works is simple. It is like this: It can be used with words, pictures, or other things on the toolbar.
Examples:
Make sure to put anything like size and color before and after a spoiler. Cool right? Anyways, have fun using this not so old effect!

Don't Be Like Him
•
2nd April 2015, 12:41 PM
Hey there! Today, there was a penguin on OldCp, and I wanted to say something to you guys about this. Look at this picture, what do you see?
Yeah, you probably noticed. The guy's name is jailmeplease. Whats wrong with that you ask? He deliberately wants to get into jail. He was even asking to get into jail. Let me tell you: Jail isn't fun!!! The main reason I think some penguins would like to go is that they want to see whats inside. I've said this before, but /jail is the same layout as /jr sarabareille. It doesn't hold any prisoners, but /jail does. If you are asking to get into jail, you'll most likely get banned for doing something bad.
In jail, the only thing you can do is sit there. You can talk, but you may not leave the room. You aren't banned; every time you get on that file you are in jail. Every time you try to get out, it doesn't let you. You can't do anything fun; there isn't anything in jail you'd enjoy. Let this be a reminder next time for those who are trying to jail themselves that being jailed is like an actual prison. (Although you wouldn't get any meals) Thanks for reading!

You Were Put In Jail For A Reason
•
2nd April 2015, 10:03 AM
Hey there! Today, I would like to talk about something important to me. Many people have been asking me to release them from jail or unban them, but they were put in there for a reason.
Jail
Jail is a place where you didn't do something bad enough for a ban, but something that disrupted the users or others online OldCp. Here are some reasons that people go to jail:
Many people would like to get into jail to see it. This will only get you a ban; if you want to see the layout of jail it is the same as /jr sarabareille (This does not hold any prisoners) Anyway, even after knowing what they were doing was wrong, they keep doing it and got themselves in jail. Right after, they might attempt to do one of the following:
Banning
Banning is another thing. If you got banned, then you did something that deserved more than just going to jail. Here are some reasons why you might be banned:
Most people know that if they do things like this, that they would get banned. A lot try to cover up their actions, such as doing things like hiding in the middle, or leaving right after they do something bad. For the ones that don't know, even if you did get banned, you can still get on OldCp. Create a new file, but don't abuse this, for you could be ipbanned over time. Here are some excuses people use to try to get out of bans:
Ipbanning
Ipbans are used when you have been banned // put in jail multiple times. You haven't tried to stop your own actions, so you are ipbanned from the website. This basically means that in the household // place you are at right now, no one can get on OldCp. Here are some reasons that people are ipbanned:
There aren't many reasons to ipban, which is why we usually stick with a normal ban or arrest. By this time, there are no excuses; you have been ipbanned for a reason.
Conclusion
By this time, you know what you should and shouldn't do. The next time you ask why you were put in jail or why you were banned; think about what you had done before saying anything. If you had been banned unfairly or arrested unfairly, talk to a staff member. We would understand that you hadn't done anything wrong, and we'll release you or unban you whether your case was successful or not.
This post was created to make sure that you know to follow the rules. We have them for a reason. Moderators don't have the job of banning people because they feel like it. Doing their job because that is what they were promoted for is their top priority. Thank you for reading.
Jail
Jail is a place where you didn't do something bad enough for a ban, but something that disrupted the users or others online OldCp. Here are some reasons that people go to jail:
- Spamming snowballs multiple times
- Spamming bell and/or whistle multiple times
- Standing in the middle when there is an event at /thrones going on
- Spamming or flooding the chat
Many people would like to get into jail to see it. This will only get you a ban; if you want to see the layout of jail it is the same as /jr sarabareille (This does not hold any prisoners) Anyway, even after knowing what they were doing was wrong, they keep doing it and got themselves in jail. Right after, they might attempt to do one of the following:
- Ask to get out of jail plainly
- Say that they didn't know the rules (even if they were warned 2 times before getting put in jail)
- Saying that your friend needs to get out of jail because they didn't do anything wrong
- "They were hacked"
Banning
Banning is another thing. If you got banned, then you did something that deserved more than just going to jail. Here are some reasons why you might be banned:
- Bullying others
- Cussing
- Doing innap things
- Having an innap name

Here are some excuses people use to try to get out of bans:
- Saying that it wasn't them that had done it
- The person that had reported them had lied (in circumstances where someone reports you}
- Going on another account saying that you didn't deserve to be banned
- Saying that you were just having fun, not bullying someone
- "But you can cuss on other CPPS's"
- "I WAS HACKED!!!"
- "I didn't mean to"
- Going on another account and saying that the account that got banned was their sibling's account
Ipbanning

This basically means that in the household // place you are at right now, no one can get on OldCp. Here are some reasons that people are ipbanned:
- Being banned multiple times without stopping
- By doing something wrong over and over such as telling a password or being innap

How To Make A Good April Fools Post
•
1st April 2015, 08:21 PM
Hey there! A lot and I mean a LOT have been making April Fools posts, and a lot of you have been lacking in the art of swaggy April Fools posts. So I'm here to help you I will show you a lot of mistakes people have been making, and tell you how to make a good April Fools discussion.
Details
Details are one of the main things people mess up on. Firstly, there are a lot of posts that are lacking details. They aren't saying much, and it doesn't seem as realistic as it could possibly be. Another thing is that people are using repetitive details, saying something over and over.
How to fix this
To fix your mistakes, find a believable outcome that doesn't repeat anything you have said. Make sure to fill in every detail to ensure that people are fooled by your post.
Spacing
Okay, let me tell you this: People will automatically know that this is a joke once they see all the spacing you have put in-between your post and you saying, "April Fools!"
How to fix this
Simply don't mention this in the post. If people ask if you're joking, reply to them with, "Am I?" Anyways, if you don't use spacing in your post, and don't mention April Fool's in your post, this will make it more believable.
Overused Topic
Many people have been choosing the same thing for their April Fools post, which is either being banned or quitting. Right off the bat, people will usually know that this is an April Fools post, and if you want to conceal this, don't use one of these.
How to fix this
If you want to make your post more realistic, pick a topic that no one else has thought of, such as a broken body part or something tragic.
WARNING: THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR ALL PEOPLE. IF IT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU, THEN YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE AS MUCH SWAG AS ME. SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE RASHES, ITCHINESS, TUBERCULOSIS, COUGHING, WHEEZING, BACK PAIN, AND SOMETIMES {Like always} RESULTING IN DEATH. ASK THE SWAGGY DOCTOR MANIAC IF THESE TIPS ARE RIGHT FOR YOU. Byeeeeee!

About Damen Being So Popular When Online
•
1st April 2015, 07:30 AM
Hey there! Today, I would like to talk about something. Every time Damen is online, there is always some person that is like, "omg!!!! Damen is online!!" Now, I would not like to make fun of anyone nor say that you can't do this, but let me just explain something to you guys.
Okay, so I understand freaking out when Damen is online OldCp. He isn't on much, and if he is casually on without an event to partake in, then you have your day made right there. I'm getting off topic. When Damen is on the Forums, people make a huge deal about it. Whenever they see that Damen made a post, they speedily click on the post to look at it.
Now, I know what your thinking. That isn't something to call off. And I know. I have reasons I make these things, because whether or not any of you like it, I have my own opinions. But just to clarify, I wouldn't ever speak a rude opinion to you. Anyways, many people just go overboard when Damen is on. He is our ruler, not someone to literally hail, but he is the Emperor and creator of what we're using; just a 17 year old.
Yes, a 17 year old. You wouldn't worship your older sibling would you? Yes sure, Damen can do amazing things, but that isn't something that should make you literally worship a virtual emperor. I wouldn't like to hurt anyone in this post. If you do this and you are offended, I'm sorry I did. But Damen should not be that extremely noticeable penguin in the crowd; some penguins just sit by themselves alone. They try to make friends but sometimes we ignore them.
There are many out there that don't get the attention they deserve, so I would like your feedback on the topic. Which would you prefer: To live in a kingdom where all are equal below the Emperor, or for the Emperor to be on top without anyone knowing the people? Thank you for reading.

About Criticizing
•
29th March 2015, 06:21 PM
Hey there! Today I would like to talk about criticizing, along with other things. But what I mainly want to talk about is criticizing others.
Criticizing is basically being rude to another in words. Let me give you an example. Someone says "Nice hair!" The other person replies with, "As if you would know what good hairstyles look like " Criticizing is usually powered by jealousy, or hate for another.
I wanted to talk about criticizing because I have been seeing a lot of it lately. Not just criticizing, but uncaring, arguing, and a lot of this is over simple things that can be misconstrued. Other times it is over something major, and you can't express your feelings and thoughts to others so you get angry. This isn't every case, but this is my opinion.
I know not everything can be resolved; not every problem is like that. But, things can work better and be more consistent such as friendship if you just get along. I want to see a somewhat better community in this way; so congratulate others when they get something such a rank, not be jealous. Put up friends rather than put them down. Instead of being rude to those who have been rude to you before, realize that it isn't worth your time to be hanging out with someone who doesn't care for you.
Another thing I wanted to talk about was characteristics. This meaning things like perfection. You shouldn't try to be perfect, for there are no perfect things out there. Another thing is not making mistakes. As Albert Einstein once said, "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." This basically means its okay to make mistakes; push your boundaries. I'm not saying I am either of those things; I am clumsy, make many mistakes, get confused a lot, can never get anything right, but I can try my best to. Thank you guys for reading and I hope this gets to you in some way.

I'm sorry you feel this way Zet. I have always tried to be a friend of yours; sometimes I just don't notice you well enough to tell you this. But trust me, the ones that are your friends and the ones that do care for you will show up in a while. Those are the ones that are going to befriend you. Let me rephrase that: We're all your friends. We just might not show our friendly side at times, but its always there. I'm clumsy, I make many mistakes, and many people are liars to me, but I keep on looking at the sky. The sun will always be there, sometimes its just under the clouds.
We all care for you, and if we haven't showed that to you, lets cover you in our protection of friendship.
