/Magnet Command
•
29th December 2014, 12:36 PM
Hi everyone.
During the mod competition, I noticed how a lot of the users were in the middle and crowding the staff table. Most of them moved, but some of them still didn't budge.
To solve this, I think we could reintroduce the magnet command. Some of you probably weren't around to see what this command does, so I'll explain it. Let's say a user named R2D2 was near the staff table, and wouldn't move from it. A mod, admin, knight, etc. could say /magnet R2D2, and R2D2 would immediately go to the user who used that command.
There's other uses for this command to. Maybe if two users were fighting, just use the magnet command to separate them. Let's say there was a group of users who wouldn't move. Just say /magnet (username) (username) (username), and you could move the amount of users in one command.
Now we could just kick, arrest, or summon those users, but some of the users who don't move could be away from their keyboard or on brb. Kicking would possibly get them angry, and it wouldn't exactly be fair to them. Arresting and then releasing isn't very convenient, and summoning user after user might create slight lag. The magnet command is a quick and easy way to move a user.
The only problem would be if the staff abuses this command for fun, but I doubt that would happen. Thanks for reading.

Sting's Inactivity

Hey everyone
Today I've decided that I need a tiny bit of a break from the DSGHQ. I feel as if I've been on the computer too much lately, and it's messing up my daily life. For example, whenever I think to myself, I'm calling myself Sting instead of my real name, and it's really creeping me out. I also haven't been sleeping very well either, mostly because of some of the things that occur here. I do know it's my job to be active, but sometimes a moderator can be too active.
I apologize for being a little reluctant to coming online, but this will give me time to spend time with my family over the holidays, do a few things for school, and just relax. This will only be a short break, and I'll be back this Saturday. Thanks for reading.

DSGHQ Voting and Polls System

Great idea. Just one question though. Would the mods make the polls/voting thingies or could other users make a poll?
Hmm... I guess anyone could. Ones administrators make could be featured or something though.

DSGHQ Voting and Polls System
•
8th December 2014, 08:34 PM
Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening everyone.
Today I basically thought of a Voting and Poll System for the DSGHQ. I think this could be incredibly useful, and here are some reasons why:
• Lots of users often make suggestions for Snaildom and OldCP. I think it'd be pretty neat if users could vote on a few of these suggestions, and then they'd be actually added to the game.
i.e. What kind of shell would you like to see added to Snaildom?
A: Black Shell
B: Tiger Pattern Shell
C: Christmas Shell
• Sometimes when people break a rule, people disagree on what kind of punishment they deserve. This could be an oppurtunity to see what the users think. Perhaps only members or masters would be able to participate in this kind of vote, though.
i.e. Since R2D2 robbed the Coffee Shop, he should be...
A: Executed
B: Banned
C: IPBanned
D : Only warned and let free
• Lastly, a voting or poll system could be something to just let the users have fun. These could include questions about really anything.
i.e Which is worse, Iceghosts or Black Hawks?
A: Iceghosts
B: Black Hawks
So those were my ideas. Perhaps the results could be shown on a pie graph? Maybe a bar graph? Of course, if you have any thoughts or opinions, you can post them down below. Thanks for reading.

Unban Me Please!

@SafetyAgent Are you saying you're banned or actually dead on the game? I'll unban you if you're banned, but if you're dead, you'll probably have to ask a healer.

The Big update discussion

2nd December 2014, 06:48 PM
I've thought of maybe having a game that has an actual plot. This game could have quests similar to Snaildom, but would have a much deeper and longer story. Maybe all the quests somehow relate to each other, and each one gives you some kind of clue that unveils some kind of big secret. And of course, you could still communicate with other people online, since the DSGHQ is known for creating many, many friendships.
As for what theme the game should be, perhaps there could be some sort of time traveling mechanic that lets you explore medieval times, futuristic times, etc. The only ideas for what animal would actually be more than one animal. You could have any kinds of animals really. Dinosaurs, fish, gorillas, giraffes, and a ton more. It may seem hard to make, but if you want a game to be really good, there's going to be hard work involved.

My Snaildom Ideas
•
26th November 2014, 08:45 PM
Hey everyone.
Lately I've noticed a lot of people posting their ideas for Snaildom, so I decided to share some of my own.
Tiger Shell
With the recent addition of the Leopard Shell, I thought it'd be pretty awesome to have a tiger shell as well. It think it'd be easy to make a white variation of it, too.
Black Shell
I've noticed a lot of people asking for this. Just another simple shell color.
Christmas Lights Item
Since the holiday season has started, I thought it'd be cool if your snail could wear some lights wrapped around its shell. It was a little difficult for me to make the picture, so I'm hoping you guys get the idea.
Color Contacts
I've had this idea for a while now. Ever since we got the Demon Eyes item, I've wondered about having more items that change how your eyes look. Basically, I had the idea of snails having eye contacts that can change the color of their eyes. I've thought of two variations of them.
Here's what the contacts that only cover part of your eye would look like.
Here's the other variation where it covers the entire eye.
Of course, the contacts wouldn't just come in red. There could be orange, green, purple, etc.
Other ideas
Lastly, I've been thinking about some of the locations in Snaildom. They're all fantastic and look great, but in my opinion, it sort of lacks variety. What I mean is that I feel like some of the places look too similar. For example, the Inn, the Library, the Style Store, and the Furniture Store are all shells. I realize that it's a game about snails, but it does take place in a forest. I really like how we had a Tree House Fort, and I think we can do something similar to that. I can imagine the library inside a tree, and maybe the tree has multiple floors. Maybe the Inn could be inside a rock, or it could be made out of sticks. It just seems like the shells can get a little repetitive.
So those were all my ideas. Feel free to post your opinions below, and thanks for reading.

FAQ Page Idea
•
8th November 2014, 02:56 PM
@Livetodance
I'm very well aware of both the Snaildom Help page and the Forum tutorial, but in my opinion, neither of them go into much detail.
For example: What if someone wanted to know what a moderator is, what are its benefits, and how to obtain it?
The forum tutorial only says who the moderators are and a super small description on how to earn it. The Snaildom Help Page doesn't include anything about moderators. The rulers page would be the same thing as the tutorial, it only mentions who the moderators are.
I do realize that they really do help, but if we had one big solid FAQ page where we could combine all these pages, we wouldn't need all these smaller individual pages. It'd be much easier to navigate.
It would also open up the possibilities to much more detailed answers instead one little sentence.

FAQ Page Idea
•
8th November 2014, 02:05 PM
Hey everybody,
Something I noticed lately is that both new and old users have been asking questions about Snaildom, ranks, etc. Usually sessions take place on Snaildom so the moderators and administrators can answer these, but some of the questions get a little repetitive. Plus, those sessions can sometimes get a little chaotic, and a lot of the questions never get to be asked or answered.
To fix that problem, I think it'd be pretty cool to have a FAQ page. For those of you who don't know what FAQ means, it stands for frequently asked questions.
The FAQ page could include questions about...
-Ranks
-Snaildom
-Competitions
-Forums
-Other DSGHQ related things
So far I'm not aware of any kind of FAQ page... so feel free to post your opinions or any ideas you have about this FAQ page idea. Thanks for reading.

I apologize to the entire DSGHQ as well. I was being very ignorant, and didn't realize how much drama I was causing. I really feel bad for what I've done, and I hope Damen and everyone else can forgive me. I promise never to do anything like this again.

r2d2 sting...
•
9th October 2014, 09:06 PM
My name was Sting originally, but soon I used R2D2 in 2012. Eventually I started using R2D2 and Sting at the same time, and I still am. I'm not sure what this break from OldCP is that everyone is talking about. I did take a break more than a year ago, but it never caused me to change my name. Sting is the original name, and my R2D2 account came later. That's all you need to know.
