When the Noldor and Vanyar journeyed across Beleriand with Orome to escape destruction and death after the War of the Valar, only one group stayed behind. This group was later named the Sindar, or Grey Elves. They created the Kingdom of Doriath, and founded the capital city of Menegroth.

Eventually after the War of Wrath, Beleriand would be sunk by Nameless One, and would eventually be drained sometime during January 2022.
Once Beleriand was drained, Ungoliant would return to Beleriand, taking residence in Ered Gorgoroth. Ungoliant would invade the kingdom of Doriath, and began to collaborate with The Fire Nation, seeing more potential in them than Pythas.

History
When the Noldor and Vanyar journeyed across Beleriand with Orome to escape destruction and death after the War of the Valar, only one group stayed behind. This group was later named the Sindar, or Grey Elves. They created the Kingdom of Doriath, and founded the capital city of Menegroth.
Menegroth's Construction
Doriath was located in the center of Beleriand. Eventually after living in peace and constructing their cities, the elves decided to create a fortress as Melian sensed evil was coming. This fortress was Menegroth. Eventually evil would come and Melkor would escape from Angband, leading to the First War of Beleriand.A view of the city after completion
Sinking of Beleriand
Eventually after the War of Wrath, Beleriand would be sunk by Nameless One, and would eventually be drained sometime during January 2022.
Ungoliant's Takeover
Once Beleriand was drained, Ungoliant would return to Beleriand, taking residence in Ered Gorgoroth. Ungoliant would invade the kingdom of Doriath, and began to collaborate with The Fire Nation, seeing more potential in them than Pythas.
