The Great Flood of 2020

The Storm

On June 16, 2020, a great storm came up from the sea. It was brought on by Cthulhu, who was allegedly angry that his son would not join him in evil. Pythas aided Cthulhu though, he infected the rainwater with ink from Cthulhu's eyes to make it so people who came in contact with the water would go mildly insane, scrambling everyone's speech. The rainstorm lasted for two days, and then stopped.

The Flood

When the rain finally ended, the excess runoff water began to collect in all the low lying areas starting with Wind Hallow Cave. Users became worried that they might drown in the water and so they started climbing the walls. The flooding would not end in Wind Hallow Cave. As the day progressed, more and more rooms became flooded, starting with the underground rooms in The Old Ways. Eventually the entire South would be flooded, with some water even running into the throne room.

The Solution

Eventually, Emperor Damen would come up with a solution to the flood, he would hire a plumber. Of course, everyone wanted to help get the food water to recede but only one man had the skills and the know-how to fix the problem. This person was George. George was hired as a plumber and quickly went to work plunging in various rooms. George discovered the main cause of the problem was that the Old Way Sewers was backed up and so he did what he knew best, he plunged on it.

The Flood Recedes!

Thanks to George's plumbing expertise, the storm sewers began to work again. By June 24th, all of the above ground rooms were clear of the flood water. Only a few underground rooms still remained flooded. George was named "The Great Plumber" in honor of all his hard work.
