Types of Wars

There are three types of wars on DSGHQ games. Invasion, Siege and Mutually Arranged Conflict (MAC).

Invasion

Invasions are fixed contract and require no signature from your opponent. An invasion is the fastest and easiest way to take possession of an in-game land. However, it comes with the highest risk. Failure results in losing one of your own lands you currently have (if you have any) and loss of your military (if you have one). If you don't have any of those, you'll lose all of your gold, weapons and armour.

If you win on the other hand, you'll take full possession of the land without needing to do any further battles.

Current Fixed Invasion Contract
- You must have at least 2 real users or bots (not alts) in support of you
ENGAGEMENT - You must submit an invasion type declaration on https://dsghq.com/wars as well as post a picture of you and your force occupying the land on forums and any official discords, timestamped and seen by the land owner to begin the engagement
WAR - Once the defenders login with their full or mostly full force to defend, the war officially begins (their leader must also be online at the start to begin the war too, not just the fighters)
- Once the war has begun (NOT THE ENGAGEMENT, read above rule) whichever side have held land (including any rooms) by a majority for 1 hour straight wins
- After 48 hours, if the leader has not defended their land or logged in, you win
- If the leader/ruler of the land is killed during the war, you win
- If you fail to take the land, you will lose one of your lands automatically to the land ruler of the land you tried to invade and take. You will also lose your military to your enemy if you have one. If you don't own any lands, they will take all of your gold, ores, weapons and armour

Siege

Sieges are fixed contract and require no signature from your opponent. Siege is a safe and fast moving way of taking a land. Every land has at least one 'siege room'. Each siege room must be taken separately (held by majority, like capture the flag) for at least 1 hour to be marked as taken.

If you fail to take any of the siege rooms belonging to the land you are trying to take, you will not win and will have to wait for 30 days to re-try. There is no added penalty for failure, so it is quite a balanced war method.

Current Fixed Siege Contract
- The attacking party agrees that fighting may only take place in the location defined in this contract as the 'siege room'.
- The attacking party agrees that warfare taking place outside the boundary of the siege room will not be considered by judges.
- The attacking party agrees that in order to take the siege room, they need to occupy it by majority for at least one hour straight.
- The attacking party agrees that real players as well as NPCs are legally allowed to compete for the siege room.
- The attacking party agrees that failure to take all siege rooms associated with this land will result in a 30-day period of cooldown before another attempt can be made.
- The attacking party agrees that the community administrators will judge the outcome of this battle.
- The attacking party agrees that upon failure to take all the siege rooms within 30 days, they must wait another 30 days before re-attempting.
- Both parties agree to obey all fighting rules including but not limited to: no spawn killing, no force pushing out of spawn and no kicking or disconnecting enemies.
- Both parties accept not to spawn more than 20 (+≤10 @~5m±1m) NPCs in the room.
- Both parties accept that if the attacking party successfully takes all the siege rooms for this land within exactly 30 days of the first war, they take the land.
- If any party breaks any of the terms of this contract, they accept to be disqualified and lose the battle.

Mutually Arranged Conflict (MAC)

Mutually arranged conflict (MAC) is a two way agreement between you, the attackers and them, the defenders. The contract is completely customisable but has to be agreed by both sides before proceeding. You can set the terms however you like. If the opponent does not sign reasonable contract terms after three attempts, the war can be force-signed by the admins.

Default MAC Contract
- Both parties agree to accept defeat if forces are destroyed or fatally weakened by the end of the time limit defined in this contract.
- Both parties agree that if neither side is completely destroyed, the side with the stronger remaining forces after the time limit, as defined in this contract, has passed may declare victory.
- Both parties agree to obey all fighting rules including but not limited to: no spawn killing, no force pushing out of spawn and no kicking or disconnecting enemies.
- The party defending their land accept that if they lose this battle, they must give over their land and ranks related to their land to other party.
- The loser agrees not to re-challenge the winner for at least 7 days after losing.
- If any party breaks any of the terms of this contract, they accept to be disqualified and lose the battle.
