Nursery of Doom
NannyDoom was the caretaker in the
Nursery of Doom, which was located in the tower of Baraddur. In the
Nursery of Doom,
NannyDoom raised the children who had been abducted. She even named some of the abducted children.
Instilling Evil
NannyDoom would instill evil into the children by reading stories about the greatness of
Melkor to them from the Black Bible. After reading from the Black Bible,
NannyDoom would take the children on walks around
Das to see the evil sites. Many of these sites are no longer in existence due to being sunken or buried by sand. Below is a list of the sites that
NannyDoom would show the children.
- Durthand - The Castle of Torture (Sunken)
- Arathgalahand - Ancient Fortress (Sunken)
- Graveyard of the Victims of Pythas (Sunken)
- Gravestones of Smoke (Still exists)
- Graveyard of the Enemies of the Black City (Sunken)
- Graveyard of Snakes and Snake King Memorial Tomb (Buried in the sand)
- Lava Bed of Udun (Still exists)
- Orodoom (Still exists)
- Garden of Tar-Gulguth (Buried in the sand)
Torturing Children
NannyDoom was known to be torturous to some of the children in the
Nursery of Doom. She was particularly cruel to vultures as she hated the race. She would take great pleasure in plucking out the feathers of the vulture children.
Along with this,
Pythas would visit the
Nursery of Doom once a month to perform an inspection on the children there. If a child was not behaving perfectly,
Pythas would take the child and torture them by burning them with a hot iron.
Death
NannyDoom would eventually die from old age and be buried under Pyramidon, as she was greatly respected for her many years of service under
Pythas.
