Ice Drakes were created by Melody to serve her and Ancalagon. They are hatched from eggs and grow rather rapidly. They breathe a deadly ice breath. They are weaker than their relatives the Fire Drakes.

Ice Drakes come from Gorgoroth. No one has been to Gorgoroth as of yet. Gorgoroth is said to be a vast arid wasteland covered in volcanic ash with little to no plant growth save for brambles and very little water flow. The waters that do flow through Gorgoroth are highly polluted and potentially toxic for sustaining life long term. Gorgoroth is thought to be uninhabitable for most kinds of life, but is apparently very suitable for dragons.

The Ice Drakes appear to be completely loyal to Melody as she is the creator of their race. They also have some loyalty to Ancalagon but it is mostly due to their fear of him. Many of the Ice Drakes appear to be willing to betray Ancalagon at Melody’s word.

Known Ice Drakes

There are several known Ice Drakes that have been seen serving Melody. The strongest Ice Drake appears to be Winteron, who is Melody’s helper. She named Winteron as her Queen Helper when she was given the South after the Ice Drakes helped Ancalagon win the land through invasion.

Another Ice Drake is Gostir. Gostir was the runt of the litter but he has proclaimed himself to be the bravest of all the dragons. Gostir served Melody as a guard. Gostir grew quickly and became a great Ice Drake. He would even assist in fighting against Ancalagon. Gostir would be vanquished on March 12, 2022 while trying to defend Cobia from the destruction of Ancalagon when Fire Nation came to celebrate their world domination.

Another Ice Drake includes DragonLAW, whom little is known about since he only appeared at the Dorval War.
