Gold City

Beginning

Gold City was founded in the first age by Lord Orome as part of his Northern Kingdom. It served as both a bank and a fortress for the forest and its people.

Hidden

Gold City was strategically hidden when it was built. It was once hidden in the caves that could only be accessed by passing through the Frost Castle in the North, which only exists on OldCp. On Penguin3D, Gold City is hidden in a cave system located below the Ice Mine.

To gain access to Gold City, users must navigate their way through the Warren Wound Caverns and answer riddles to obtain keys that will unlock the Gold City Gates.

Wealth

Gold City became known as Gold City due to its massive stockpile of gold, which was stored there being hidden away from the evil forces of Melkor. In the early days, all of the gold in the Gold City belonged to the forest and its people. It was used by the forest in smith craft, such as the forcing of weapons and golden antlers for any forest person who was worthy of wearing an object of such high honor.

Employment

Within Gold City resided many bankers who kept records of all the gold that was deposited and withdrawn. They also served to protect the gold and anyone who was caught thieving was thrown in a cell for a time until they had repented of their sins. Due to the nature of The Forest and its people, very few people ever tried to rob the place. Those who did were usually undercover operatives for Melkor or small children who did not know any better.

Downfall

It is said that all great things must come to an end, and so it was true for Gold City.

Murder

One fateful night, Melkor would send Raegon to kill his sister Melody. Pythas woke up after his wife was murdered and was sent into a great rage. He thought that Orome had had his wife murdered and so he returned to his evil roots and slaughtered many forest men, women, and children, all while making his way to the Gold City.

Revenge

When Pythas arrived at the Gold City, he found it being protected by Orome and countless Gold City Guardians. Pythas easily defeated all of the Gold City Guardians and then had an epic showdown with Orome.

The battle went on for much time until Pythas finally had enough and force choked Orome, pushing him behind the bars of the Gold City cell. It was then that Pythas revealed to Orome that his daughter was dead. Orome tried to make Pythas believe that he had been lied to and that he had had nothing to do with her murder, but Pythas did not listen and believed the old man to be a liar.

Once Orome was locked up, Pythas bound him within the cell and the confines of the Gold City using dark magic. As a result of this, many forest people and bankers were made prisoner as well. The seal upon the Gold City would not be broken until after the birth of the 'chosen one.'

Chosen One Returned

After many centuries, the chosen one would indeed return to Gold City and free Orome from his imprisonment. Gamer discovered his vast riches as well as a golden skull, which was placed in its own protective area as it had a curse which would suck people into it and entrap their souls within it. Gamer managed to use the skull and entrapped his father within it, though he would later break out and explode the skull.

Protection

As a result of being locked up for so long, many of the forest people went insane and became djinns. As djinns, they are evil but still protect the city they were bound to.

Present Day

Currently Gold City and all of its wealth belongs to Gamer, who is the Chosen One and it is now his to use or defend as he pleases.
