Beginning

Gold City was founded in the first age by Lord Orome as part of his Northern Kingdom. It served as both a bank and a fortress for the forest and its people.

Wealth

Gold City became known as Gold City due to its massive stockpile of gold, which was stored there being hidden away from the evil forces of Melkor. In the early days, all of the gold in the Gold City belonged to the forest and its people. It was used by the forest in smith craft, such as the forcing of weapons and golden antlers for any forest person who was worthy of wearing an object of such high honor.

Employment

Within Gold City resided many bankers who kept records of all the gold that was deposited and withdrawn. They also served to protect the gold and anyone who was caught thieving was thrown in a cell for a time until they had repented of their sins. Due to the nature of The Forest and its people, very few people ever tried to rob the place. Those who did were usually undercover operatives for Melkor or small children who did not know any better.

Present Day

Currently all of the wealth in Gold City belongs to Gamer, who is the Chosen One and it is now his to use or defend as he pleases.

Downfall

It is said that all great things must come to an end, and so it was true for Gold City.

Murder

One fateful night, Melkor would send Raegon to kill his sister Melody. Pythas woke up after his wife was murdered and was sent into a great rage. He thought that Orome had had his wife murdered and so he returned to his evil roots and slaughtered many forest men, women, and children, all while making his way to the Gold City.

Revenge

When Pythas arrived at the Gold City, he found it being protected by Orome and countless Gold City Guardians. Pythas easily defeated all of the Gold City Guardians and then had an epic showdown with Orome. The battle went on for much time until Pythas finally had enough and force choked Orome, pushing him behind the bars of the Gold City cell. It was then that Pythas revealed to Orome that his daughter was dead. Orome tried to make Pythas believe that he had been lied to and that he had had nothing to do with her murder, but Pythas did not listen and believed the old man to be a liar.

Once Orome was locked up, Pythas bound him within the cell and the confines of the Gold City using dark magic. As a result of this, many forest people and bankers were made prisoner as well. The seal upon the Gold City would not be broken until after the birth of the 'chosen one.'

Protection

As a result of being locked up for so long, many of the forest people went insane and became djinns. As djinns, they are evil but still protect the city they were bound to.

Background

Ubar City, also known as Ubarsands, was once a great kingdom. It was ruled over by a man known of as 'Snake Boy,' who was the king of the city. While the city was located on Das, not all of its residents were Pythas worshipers, though most of them were. The king did have to maintain the facade of worshiping Pythas or else his life and kingdom would have met an untimely end.

Tent Kingdom

In Ubar City, everyone lived in tents and all of its business was conducted out of tents, thus it was also called the 'City of Tents' and the 'Tent Kingdom.' Due to its proximity to the sea, it was also a great center for trade.

Ubar City in its prime.

For much time, the city thrived and became rather large. Despite its size, no permanent structures were ever built. It's people were content to live out of their tents.

Paying Tribute

Ubar City also happened to be situated right outside of the Black City. Pythas allowed the city to be located there as he could corrupt its people and use them as servants. The kingdom had to pay tribute regularly to the dark lord or else they would suffer serious consequences. Some of the punishments for failing to pay tribute included: tents being ripped/torn, children being kidnapped, scourging, and more.

Downfall

Ubar City would become abandoned sometime after the death of Gothmog the Goblin. It is thought that after Gothmog died, Snake Boy's disloyalty was finally discovered by The Witch King, who thus had Snake Boy arrested and tortured before having him face trial before Pythas. Pythas decided to make an example of him and thus had Snake Boy publicly executed.

With Snake Boy dead, the city turned into a state of anarchy. Many of the tents were burned and now, only a few still stand.
