Team Sushi

History

---

Team Sushi was founded in 2016 by Cristal and Sugar with a small group of users in the DSGHQ community. It took many years for the team to become recognized over time through several events. Team Sushi was the start of something new, a team that gave little users a chance to get seen by staff as potential moderators. Team Sushi has had several members become Moderator and other ranks because of the hard work the members put into Game of Mods. Over the years, Team Sushi became more than just a team, it became an unforgettable family with memories to share.

Game of Mods

Team Sushi started their first Game of Mods in the fall of 2016, this was also Team Sushi's very first win as well. The first member, Cristal, also won Game of Mods and became a Moderator. This was a huge step for Team Sushi and lead to another victory in 2017. Overall, Team Sushi has participated in 9 Game of Mods series.

Game of Mods: Series 20
This was Team Sushi's second win. Over time the members Sugar and Cristal became Moderator and had to hand the team off to newer members to continue Team Sushi's legacy. The new leader, Mari/MNM21, and the co-leader Gurlplay were able to lead Team Sushi to another victory in 2017. Sushi is one of the only teams to have multiple leaders for each series.



Game of Mods: Series 23
In 2018, Team Sushi's second member, Sugar won Game of Mods and became a Moderator. Though the team did not win as a whole, this was one of the more memorable series for Team Sushi with many new and old members returning back to the team.




In the 2018 series, the team was not going off to a good start with only 2 points awarded from Stage 1 and Stage 2. However, Team Sushi made a comeback and managed to win Stage 3 and tie with Team Topaz.





Inventions
Team Sushi has also made many memorable inventions over the years, in the one and only base /jr terry91 which was used throughout every single Game of Mods series.

Game of NOT Mods

Around 2018, Damen decided to make a pre-game event called Game of NOT Mods for all the teams to participate in before the real deal. Team Sushi participated in 2 Game of Not Mods and won both of them. Game of NOT Mods was a way for Team Sushi to practice and have more fun before the real event.

Present status

---

Now, Team Sushi is a retired team after the many Game of Mods and other events the team participated in. However, for one more memory, and one more moment the team members have reunited once again to take part in the 2020 series of Game of Mods.
