Creation
The Vulture Kingdom is an old and great kingdom. It once was very mighty as there was once a huge vulture population living on Arda.
Melkor
Melkor created the race of Snaggled Tooth Vultures, which are the main type of vultures that make up the Vulture Kingdom.Before Melkor became stuck in a hateful evil form, he had taken on a fair form and pretended to be reformed. While he was in this disguise, he ensnared several of the shapeshifting eagle maiar of Manwe. These eagles believed that Melkor was indeed reformed and to work with him. With permission from Manwe, Melkor sent them out of Valinor to go dismantle his old fortress of Utunmo. Little did they know, Melkor had sent word to the servants still residing in the fortress to capture these eagles and hold them hostage there until his return. The eagles were held captive for over a century before Melkor finally returned to Utunmo. He then tortured the eagles until he broke their spirits. They turned dark and were no longer able to sing the beautiful songs of Valinor. These became Melkor’s most powerful vulture servants and the beginning of the Vulture Kingdom.
Lesser vultures were created after Melkor stole eggs from the nests of the eagles of Manwe. He placed a curse upon these eggs and hatched them and raised them in the darkness of Utunmo. These new vultures were unable to shapeshift, having no maiar blood in them.
Melody
Melody is highly respected in the Vulture Kingdom. She is often referred to as the creator of vultures, but this is not true. Melody helped to keep the vulture race alive. She bred vultures and amassed a huge army of them.

Royalty
Most of the Kings and Queens of the Vulture Kingdom have been lost over time due to the decline in population of Vultures living across Arda. The Vulture Kingdom appears to be a matriarchal society, where leadership is passed down from mother to daughter.

Residences
The Vulture Kingdom has resided in many different lands over the years and has tended to take up residence where evil is strongest.
Das
Before Melkor was chained the the void, Das was a hot spot for vulture activity. The main strength of the Vulture Kingdom resided in and around the Black City. The kingdom moved after Melkor was imprisoned as much of the island was laid to waste in the battle between Melkor and the Ainur.Cobia
Eventually, Melody would move some of the vultures to Cobia, where they resided in Bosque and also frequented Corvo, the prison island. On Cobia, the vultures became friendly with the Cobos and they would often work together. The vultures would leave Cobia after it was invaded by the Empire.

Aman
Many vultures would flock the the land of Aman, so many went there that the land was actually filled with vultures. It was a vulture stronghold for a very long time until they got pushed out of the land.

Beleriand
Beleriand has also been another vulture stronghold and it is the current home of the Vulture Kingdom. The vultures actually took over Fort Himring and created a throne in the lowest level.Third Age
In the early days of the Third Age, the majority of vultures in the Vulture Kingdom resided in the lands of Aman and Beleriand. At one point there were more than eight thousand vulture families, many of which have been wiped out completely.
Vulture Genocide
One day, a man named Mann would go to Beleriand. Mann would beg Orome to help him reclaim the isle of Tol Morwen from the vultures and Orome agreed to it. This angered Mandos, who threatened to file a lawsuit against Orome for attacking the native vultures of Beleriand. Orome did not take this threat well and went out and unjustly slaughtered a great number of vultures in his rage, even killing Sthagrith, the Vulture Queen.After the death of their queen, the vultures fled the isle and went in hunt of Mann. The vultures found Mann and slayed him as revenge. The killing of Mann angered Orome and Manwe and so together they completely swept away all the vultures on Aman, forcing the vultures to relocate to Achto and back to Tol Morwen.
Fire Nation
The vultures were of the last few races to still reside on Beleriand while it was flooded during the rise of Fire Nation and the awakening of Ancalagon. While the vultures feared Ancalagon, they still posed a great threat to Fire Nation as vultures will kill and eat young dragons.
